I had put it together with a 2400g to get things updated (turned out to be unnecessary but whatever). Had to wait for the Noctua L9a to come in since the cooler for the 3400g is too big for the case. The Noctua is actually lower than the Stealth that comes with the 2400g and cools better than either stock cooler.

I don’t know if I’ve ever had a ‘complete’ computer - in my world they're always a work in process, and this probably why I have a stack of side panels sitting around...

The bug has already bit me. Mine is “complete” and working. I had the itch which is why I built one for her (on top of her needing one). I think the next thing I’m gonna do is upgrade the cooler for mine. The stock cooler is ok but could cool better and could be a lot quieter. I’m just debating on which to buy and how much I’m willing to spend.

I found it funny that the version of the cooler I wanted that had the red LEDs cost less than the same version without the LEDs. I bought the one with the dumb lights, snipped them out and saved $5.
I finally got around to installing the new hard disk cage thingy I bought back in February. Now I can have eight SSDs or HDs in the space of one 5.25" bay. I’ve only installed a few SSDS but that’s 2.5TB of solid state storage, with room for more of I swap in that 8-port RAID controller.
I did swap out the CPU for a ‘K’ version of the same, but haven’t gotten around to overclocking it yet, but I’m not really into that. I also yanked the BD-R drive and tossed it into my Z420 workstation/server as I’m more likely to need to burn things from that machine.
The Z420 did get a $40 CPU upgrade, so now it has 8 cores/16 threads. I was thinking of throwing in another 32GB of RAM, because I can, but don't really need to. That, and the $60 that would cost should probably be used for silly things like food, rent and electricity...

What case is this? It reminds me of one of those Cooler Master 110 cases, but I feel like I’m compl etely off the mark here.

In Win Chopin. It’s pretty tiny. Smallest pc I’ve ever put together but that’s not saying anything since I’ve only built a few previously and they were all mid towers.

It’s just like cars. Leave them stock (buy a pre built) and no problems. Build one on your own or start modding and the next thing you know you’re broke but you’ve got something fast and pretty.

Congrats, that's a pretty compact build. What wattage power supply are you using

Nice! I like a small case design.

Yeah. It’s a tight fit. Wish I could shorten up some cables instead of bunching up and zip ties. Putting it all together is fun though.

It’s the one that came with the case: 150w. Not a ton of headroom but enough running everything stock. I wanted something simple and compact for her.

Any gaming happening here? Can’t identify the GPU. Nice tight build though.

Nah. Normal computer things like streaming and browsing.

I love the compactness of it.

It’s pretty tiny. It’s the smallest case I know of that still uses normal components.
